If you are on our mailing List then you should receive the newsletter including Walk Notes. You must register for a Sunday walk by the previous Wednesday, and for a midweek walk by the previous Monday.  If you are not on our mailing list then please fill in the contact form or send us an email to the address on the Contact Us page.

Walk Registrations are required early in time to determine feasibility of walk and if relevant organise transport.

When registering please give the walk leader the following contact information and next-of-kin information:

  • Name(s)
  • Mobile phone number
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Car Lift:
    • Can you offer a lift? If so, for how many passengers can you take with you?
    • Do you require a lift?
  • Suburb – The location is used for car pooling arrangement.
  • Next of kin(s) to be contacted on an emergency:
    • Name
    • Relationship
    • (Mobile) Phone number

Midweek 16 Dec 20 Merri Creek - Coburg Lake

Edna will lead this Midweek walk, which will take in Merri Creek and Coburg Lake. After the walk there will be a possible coffee stop at the Islamic Museum cafe.

SOHW 13 Dec 20 Four Brothers Rock

Joshua will lead this moderately hard walk in the Bunyip State forest, which is in a regeneration process after bushfires in 2018. 

SOHW Mt St Leonard 29 Nov 2020

Boris will lead this walk, starting at Donnelly's Weir and climbing steadily up to the Peak of Mt St Leonard. You must have good fitness to attempt this walk. Bookings required by 25 November. 

The challenge is to improve on this photo which was taken in June 2017.

SOMW 6 Dec 20 Trentham - Domino Trail

Ron and Vardit will be leading this Medium circuit walk from Trentham to Lyonville and back, through forest and an old former train track. The symbol of this walk is the Powerful Owl, whose habitat was saved by locals.

SOMW 22-Nov-20 Warrandyte

An additional Medium walk for November on Sunday 22nd led by Eitan who is keen to get us walking!
